Seymour is a small town to the north of Fort Beaufort situated at the fort of the Elandsberg, part of the Amathole Range. The town grew up around the British Fort of Elands Post, which was lost during the early years of the War of Mlanjeni. Seymour has superb views across the Kat River valley, the single most disputed and fought over piece of land in South Africa.
